Caramel-Walnut Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 (14 oz.) pkg. Caramels
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk (divided)
- 1 (181/4 oz.) pkg. Caramel-flavored cake mix (Duncan Hines)
- 3/4 c. butter, melted
- 2 tsp. Vanilla
- 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 11/2 c. walnut halves or pieces

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°. Unwrap caramels, & place in a medium saucepan. Add ⅓ c. evaporated milk; cook over low heat until caramels melt, stirring often. Remove from heat, & set aside.Combine remaining ⅓ c. milk, cake mix, & next 3 ingredients; stir just until blended. Spread half dough into a lightly greased 9" square pan. Chill remaining dough. Bake at 350° for 10 min. Cool in pan on wire rack 5 min. Pour caramel mixture over brownie layer in pan. Sprinkle with walnuts. Divide remaining half of dough into 9 portions. Pat each portion in a 3" circle. Place circles over walnuts in pan, overlapping slightly. Bake at 350° for 25 min. Cool completely in pan on rack. Cover & chill before cutting.
