Banana Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups sugar (390 g.)
• 1/2 cup shortening (105 g.)
• 2 eggs
• 2 bananas, mashed
• 1 cup milk (236 ml)
• 2 cups flour (280 g.)
• 3/4 tsp. Salt
• 2 tsp. Soda
• 2 tsp. Cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp. Cloves
• Optional: 1 c. walnuts (115 g.)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar, shortening, eggs, & bananas. Mix in remaining ingredients. Pour into sprayed and floured jelly roll pan and bake at 350º F. for 30 to 35 min.
Cool.
Frost with Cream Cheese frosting.
Frosting:
½ c. butter, softened
3 ½ c. powdered sugar (420 g.)
½ tsp. Vanilla
8 oz. Cream cheese, softened
