Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of Oysters
  • 2 Cups of Flour
  • 2 tsp of Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp of Salt
  • 2 Eggs, separated
  • 1/2 Cup of Milk
  • 1/2 Cup of liquid from Oysters
  • 1/2 tsp of Paprika

Preparation

Step 1

Sift Flour, Baking Powder, Salt, and Paprika together.
Combine Egg Yolks, Milk, and Oyster Liquid.
Fold Dry ingredients into Wet ingredients.
GENTLY fold in Oysters.
Drop each Oyster batter by Tablespoon into very hot fat.
When golden brown on one side, turn to brown other side.
Place on paper to drain and then serve.
