This recipe was just middle of the road for our family. There was too much dough on the top and not enough meat filling. Were I to make this again I would double the meat. My kids stated they would rather have the old fashioned Sloppy Joes instead....they like to lick their fingers, classy southern family that we are.
Made it for a Pot Luck supper. Was gone as fast as it was put out. Next time I will use a smaller dish, probably a 9x9 pan, to make it a little more thicker.
ok FOLLOWED directions. but when i got it out and ate it ... the breadsticks were still doughy- not all the way done. SO WHAT IRECCOMMEND is cooking the dish a little bit more to avoid this. ALSO put the reccommneded cheese. I LOVE CHEESE so hey the more the better.. WRONG! OVERALL the dish was FAST and an easy to do. but be careful of the breadsticks not getting done enough.
We love this and make it quite often. I am thinking of subbing taco mix for the manwhich, and maybe add olives then add some sour cream when it comes out of the oven.
