Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups slivered almonds toasted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 sticks marg.
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup dessert topping unwhipped
- 12 oz. semi-sweet baking chocolate
- 6 oz. semi-sweet baking chocolate for the garnish

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. In food processor chop almonds. Save 1 1/4 cups for garnish. Cream marg. and sugar.Add egg and rest of ingredients through the flour. Mix. Shape into cookies.Bake until light brown.
Ganache: In pot add whip and chocolate(12 0z)Melt.Let cool.When it has cooled cream one side of a cookie.(Count to make sure you have equal amounts and sizes for a sandwich cookie)Sandwich the cookies together.
Melt the 6 0z. of choc. Dip part of the cookie into the choc and then into the reserved 1 1/4 cup toasted almonds.
