Ingredients
- 1 1/4 C butter, softened
- 2 C sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 t vanilla extract
- 2 C all-purpose flour
- 3/4 C baking cocoa
- 1 t baking soda
- 1/2 t salt
- 2 C (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips

Step 1
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 min or until set. Cool for 2 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks. Yield: 9 dozen
