  • Ingredients
  • 2 lbs ground chicken
  • 1 carrot (shredded)
  • 3 celery stalks (medium, chopped)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 3 garlic cloves (chopped or pressed)
  • 2 T vinegar (can be any kind)
  • 2 T brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth



Step 1

Brown chicken in pan. Chop onion & celery, shred carrot, add to chicken with garlic. In seperate bowl, combine your "wet" ingredients that are left and mix. Add sauce to pan and allow to simmer for several minutes. You can serve on whole wheat buns, in pitas, etc. (not included in nutritional info). I'm going to try this with the Splenda brown sugar to make it more waist friendly. If you have the calories/fat to spare for the day, add bleu cheese crumbles to the top or I like just a drizzle of fat-free ranch. Makes 12 servings ( approximately 4 ounces each & freezes well). Enjoy!
