  • 1 c rice
  • 1 c lentils
  • 1 onion
  • Olive oil
  • Salt to taste



Step 1

Put lentils in a sauce pan. Cover with two inches of water and bring to a simmer. In the meantime, slice onions and add to hot pan with olive oil. Cook onions until they are very dark brown, then add onions with the oil to the lentils. Add rice, cover with another two inches of water, salt heavily, cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is done.
