Italian Walnut Cookies (Noce Cookies)
- 3 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 stick of butter (unsalted)
- 1/2 cup icing sugar
- 1/2 cup finely grated walnuts
- 1 grated lemon peel
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tbsp cocao
- 7 cups grated walnuts
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 1/2 bar of butter
- 1/2 glass of rum
- 3 tbsp of strega
Mix all ingredients together.
Add enough flour so that dough is not sticky.
Roll dough into small balls and place balls into the refrigerator for one day.
Remove from refrigerator and shape dough into the nut forms.
Cook for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees, cool.
Mix together, then place into cooked walnut forms.
