Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 t salt
- 1 t baking powder
- 1 t soda
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 cup diced dates
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 2 T grated orange rind
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup powdered sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Sift together dry ingredients.
Stir in fruits and nuts.
Combine beaten eggs, milk and oil.
Pour into dry ingredients and stir until mixed.
Pour into well-greased 10 inch tube pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Let stand in pan until lukewarm. Remove to rack placed over wide dish.
Combine orange juice and powdered sugar and pour over warm cake.
Spoon up any juice that drips into dish and pout over the cake again.
Refrigerate cake 24 hours and serve with whipped cream.
Will last a week or more in the refrigerator.
