Ingredients

  • 1 lg head cabbage
  • 1 each sm red and green pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 carrots, peeled
  • 1/4 C choppped red onion
  • 2 C sugar
  • 1 C apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 C water
  • 1 tsp celery seed
  • 1 tsp mustard seed

Preparation

Step 1

Dice onion and peppers - coarsely grate carrots and cabbage.
Mix sugar, vinegar, pepper flakes, water and seeds in saucepan. Simmer for about 15 minutes. Cool dressing slightly and pour over vegetables. Allow to cool completely - then pack in freezer bags and freze. This casn also be eaten the next day - if you cannot wait.
