Ingredients
- 2 Cups of Split Peas
- 8 Cups of Hot Water
- 1 to 2 lbs of Hambone
- 1 Garlic Clove, grated
- 1 Medium Onion, grated
- 1 Stick of Celery Tops
- 1 Tbsp of Salt
- 1/8 tsp Pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients, boil, and simmer for one hour and 15 minutes or until Split Peas are soft.
Put through a coarse strainer.
Reheat and serve
