Ingredients
- Topping:
- 1 C. Quick Oats
- 1 1/2 C. Boiling Water
- 1 C. Brown Sugar
- 1 C. Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 C. Butter
- 1 1/2 C. Flour
- 1 t. Baking Soda
- 1 t. Cinnamon
- 1/2 t. Salt
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 C. Nuts
- 6 T. Butter
- 1 t. Vanilla
- 1 1/2 C. Coconut
- 1 C. Brown Sugar
- 1/4 C. Milk
- 1/4 C. Nuts

Preparation
Step 1
Combine oats and boiling water. Let stand while mixing together remaining cake ingredients. Cream sugar and butter; add eggs. Sift flour, cinnamon, soda, and salt together.
Add to sugar and mix with oatmeal mixture. Put in a greased 9x13 pan and pound pan on the counter to remove air bubbles.
BAKE 350° for 30 minutes (cake may rise in center, just put in for a few more minutes). Mix together topping ingredients and spread on hot cake. Bake two minutes more.
