French Pear tart

Ingredients
- Pears:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon suga
- 12 tablespoons (11/2 sticks) cold unsalted butter, diced
- 1/2 cup ice water
- 4 pears
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) cold unsalted butter, small diced
- 1/2 cup apricot jam
- 2 tablespoons water

Preparation
Step 1
Combine the dry pastry ingredients in a food processor (I use the Ninja) then add the butter piece by piece pulsing until the butter is the size of small peas. Add water until the dough comes together, knead quickly, and wrap. Put it in the fridge for at least 1 hr.
Preheat oven to 400. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 10x14.
Peel and slice pears thin and arrange in a single layer on the tarte. Sprinkle with sugar and a few dabs of butter. Bake for 45 mins-1 hr. Heat the apricot jam in a small saucepan until smooth and brush over the tarte. Enjoy!
