Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups (packed) dark brown sugar
  • 9 garlic cloves, peeled, pressed
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 3/4 cup tamari soy sauce
  • 6 tablespoons unseasoned rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peeled fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon (or more) hot chili sauce (such as sriracha)
  • 3/4 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 9 green onions, chopped
  • 2 racks baby back ribs, peeled

Preparation

Step 1

1. Place sugar, next 9 ingredients, and 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper in large bowl. Whisk until salt dissolves. Mix in green onions. Set a small amount of marinade aside.
2. Marinate ribs overnight. Preheat EGG to 225º F and slow cook the ribs for 3 hours using smoke, 2 hours wrapped in foil and then glaze for 1 hour.
