I made this on the day I first saw it printed. I used unsalted butter (I always do), and I believe I used a sweet onion (Vidalia) and a small 1 1/2 quart slow cooker. I was amazed at how much I enjoyed them! A wonderful, easy side dish.
A fantasic recipe - have used it for several years as a holiday appetizer! Very tasty!!
Good recipe but I added some white wine to develop a richer flavor.
Yum. So easy and simple but huge on flavor. Made them for Christmas and everyone loved them, they couldn't believe how simple the recipe was. I left out the onions, but I may add other veggies next time.
