Cheesesteak Pizza

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough or homemade pizza crust
  • 1 Tbsp yellow cornmeal
  • Sliced bell pepper
  • Sliced sweet onion
  • 1 lb thinly sliced sirloin steak
  • Montreal steak seasoning
  • Olive oil
  • 4 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Cheese Sauce to follow



Step 1

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Spray pizza pan with cooking spray. Sprinkle with cornmeal. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat with tablespoon of olive oil. Add peppers and onions. Cook until tender. Remove from skillet and add steak with steak seasoning and cook until done. Remove and set aside. Line pizza pan with dough. Spread with cooled cheese sauce. Top with vegetables, steak and mozzarella cheese. Bake for about 15 minutes. (Cheese Sauce - 1/8 cup Earth Balance butter, 1/8 cup all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup skim milk, 4 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded, 1/4 tsp pepper, 1/8 tsp garlic powder) In sm. pan melt butter. Add flour and cook 2 min. while stirring constantly. Add milk and cook until smooth. When thickens (about 8 min.) add cheese, pepper and garlic powder. Whisk until smooth. Cool.
