Ingredients
- 1 white onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 12 vine-ripe red tomatoes
- fresh basil, to taste
- 4 tbsp (60 ml) extra-virgin olive oil
- coarse sea salt, to taste

Preparation
Step 1
In a skillet over high heat, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil for 2-3 minutes.
Add tomatoes and salt, reduce heat, and cook for 15 minutes.
Pass sauce through a food mill until smooth. Place sauce in pot and cook for 5 more minutes.
Top with fresh basil.
