- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground cardamom
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3 eggs, at room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- powdered sugar

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9-inch fancy or plain tube pan and dust with flour
In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cardamom and salt. Blend in the eggs at low speed. Add the cream and beat at high speed, scraping the bowl as necessary, until the batter is the texture of softly whipped cream. Turn the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until the cake tests done. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan. Invert onto a rack and cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
*Cake tastes good, but the amount of batter is only good for a very small pan. Would have to double the recipe for a regular-size tube pan or a Bundt pan. Easy to make.
