I was excited to see an apple crisp slow cooker dessert. The fragrance in my kitchen with the spices was wonderful. I followed this recipe verbatim and it was awful. The apples were so mushy and there was no "CRISP" in this Praline Apple Crisp. I won't waste my ingredients to make this again -- I was very disappointed.

This was an easy to make dessert that would be perfect for a dinner party since you can throw it in the crock pot while you're preparing the rest of the meal & getting ready. However, the ice cream isn't optional... we ate our first serving without and it definitely needed the cool & creamy component to make this a great dish.

I thought this recipe was really tasty, however the oatmeal mix for the top just didnt seem like enough, so I doubled it. It seemed perfect to me this way. It was a little strange since there was no "crisp." I actually thought this would be super yummy at breakfast.
