Preparation

Step 1

Mist an 8-inch, square microwave-safe baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Place butter and cocoa powder in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high until butter is melted, 30 to 90 seconds, depending on power and size of your oven (check it every 15 seconds). Add sugar and whisk to combine. Let mixture cool slightly, then whisk in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour. Scrape batter into prepared baking dish.

Microwave on high until brownies are just set in center, 4 to 7 minutes, depending on power and size of your oven (after 4 minutes, check batter every 15 seconds). Let brownies cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Cut brownies into 8 squares and serve.

REVIEWS:

At first when I saw "microwave" brownies I thought hmmmm. But this is by far the easiest, quickest and yummiest brownie recipe I have ever made. I too, like the other review, would use less sugar as they are pretty sweet. But they are gooey, chewy and oh soooo moist! Would be great with a scoop of ice cream.

Horrible!!! They were so dry and tastless!!!! They made me sick to my stomach!!!!!!!!! My son threw up after eating them, they tasted soo bad. I don't care what everyone else is saying about them, they are sooo horrible!!! And I love any kind of brownie (including microwave lima bean, zuccini, corn and butter brownies that no one else likes!) These would not be good for any occasion!

I was skeptical. A microwave brownie recipe? I had low expectations, but was I surprised! They were moist and flavorful, and my family loved them. I think they're a bit on the sweet side, so I cut the sugar by 1/4 cup. I plan to make them again, maybe adding frosting after they cool.

I checked at 4 minutes, and they were completely overdone and dried out. In spite of that, the flavor was decent, so I'm going to try again and check the doneness at 2-1/2 minutes. I have all new kitchen appliances, so it well could be that my microwave oven is more powerful than I realized.

Made these tonight with my daughter, then served with vanilla ice cream and sprinkles. Not too bad! In a pinch they are wonderful, but I am partial to the Mocha Toffee Brownies on this site. My husband, who is not a fan of sweets, will gobble up the Mocha brownies quicker than I can turn around...these, not so much. However, for kids, they are PERFECT! We did top with chocolate chips before nuking though.

These were fantastic - I honestly was not expecting too much considering that they were microwave! They were moist and chocolatey and soooo yummy. I made the recipe exactly as is. Fabulous!

These brownies was so easy & very delicious! They were also very fudgy!!! I added chocolate chips & toffee bits to the recipe. I would definitely make them again!
