Ingredients
- 1 ½ lb. ground beef
- 1 ½ cups chopped onion
- 3 cups beef broth
- 3 cups water
- 1 ½ cups carrots, chopped
- 1 ½ cups celery, diced
- 1 ½ cups potatoes, cubed
- 3 tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. pepper
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 tsp. basil
- 4 ½ cups stewed tomatoes

Preparation
Step 1
In large saucepan cook and stir meat until brown.
Drain off fat, cook onions with meat until tender, 5 minutes. Stir In remaining ingredients, heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until vegetables are cooked
