Matzo Bark

This is a traditional dessert at our Passover Sedars. YUM
This recipe can be easily doubled.

Ingredients
- 3 slightly salted matzos
- 12 tbs. (1 1/2 sticks) of butter
- 3/4 cup packed golden brown sugar
- 2 t. water
- 1 12 oz package of chocolate chips
- 1 cup slivered almonds

Step 1
1) Place rack in center of oven and preheat to 350 degrees
2) Cover bottom of cookie sheet or jellyroll pan with aluminum foil.
3) Arrange the matzo on the cookie sheet breaking them to fit.
4) Put the butter and brown sugar in a pot over medium heat until melted then bring to a boil. Stir boiling mixture for 4 to 5 minutes until thickened.
5) Remove from heat and carefully stir in the water ( the mixture may bubble).
6) Stir in the chocolate chips until melted.
7) Immediately pour mixture over matzo, spreading to cover,
bake for 10 minutes.
8) Remove from the oven, sprinkle with nuts. When cool enough to handle, break into pieces and place on waxed paper to cool completely. Store in airtight container at room temperature.
