Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sausage links, cut into thirds
  • 6 slices of bread, crusts trimmed and cut into cubes
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/2 te. Salt
  • 1/2 te. Dry Mustard

Preparation

Step 1

1) Grease a 2 quart pyrex dish.
2) Layer the sausage, then bread, then cheese.
3) Mix the eggs, milk, salt and mustard.
4) Pour this mixture over the sausage, bread, cheese layers.
5) Cover, store in the refrigerator overnight.
6) Take out of refrigerator about an hour before you want to bake it. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
7) Bake in a 325 degree oven, uncovered, for at least 45 minutes. It is done when you can insert a knife and it comes out clean. Also, the top should be nice and brown.
