Salted Peanut Chews

Ingredients

• BASE:
• 1 pkg yellow cake mix
• 1/3 c butter
• 1 egg
• 3 c miniature marchmallows
• Topping:
• 2/3 c corn syrup
• 1/4 c butter
• 2 t vanilla
• 12 oz. peanut butter chips
• 2 c rice krispies
• 2 c salted peanuts

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350 deg. Combine base ingredients except marshmallows. Press in ungreased 13x9" pan. Bake for 12-18 mins. Immediately sprinkle with marshmallows. Return to oven 2 mins. until they begin to puff. In large saucepan, heat syrup, butter, vanilla, & chips until melted. Remove from heat, stir in cereal & nuts. Spoon over marshmallows. Chill; cut into bars.
