Applesauce Raisin Cookies

Sharon notes - I used a little more applesauce & walnuts (whole). Also can add a little oatmeal & less raisins

Ingredients

• 3/4 c shortening
• 1 c brown sugar, packed
• 1 egg
• 1/2 c applesauce
• 2 1/4 c flour
• 1/2 t soda
• 1/2 t salt
• 3/4 t cinnamon
• 1/4 t cloves
• 1 c raisins
• 1/2 c nuts, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven 375*. Mix shortening, sugar & egg throughly. Stir in applesauce. Measure flour by sifiting. Blen dry ingred and stir in. Mix raisions & nuts. Drop by teaspponfuls on greased baking sheet. Bake 10-12 min
