Halve the room temperature dough and roll out the doughs into 8inch rounds. Spread 1/2 ricotta cheese mixture all over dough, leaving a ½ inch around the edge. REVIEWS:

We just had the wa-zones for dinner tonite and we added some sausage to it which is my families favorite pizza topping and everyone loved it. It is on our list of favorites.

What is the brand of waffle iron she used today? (It was a Cuisinart.)

Love this recipe!!!

Not sure what I did wrong, but the back of the wa-zone broke (not the side that I closed with water) and the cheese mixture squirted out creating a HUGE mess in the waffle iron. After this happened with the first one, I put less mixture in the second hoping for a better result, unfortunately, the same thing happened again. I had dough for two more calzones so I baked them in the oven - with a much better result. The cheese mixture was delicious, but the waffle iron was a MESSY disaster!!

I tried this wa-zone for dinner tonight and my family LOVED it!

This is too funny, I often make grilled sandwiches on my waffle iron. I call them wafflinis since they resemble panini sandwiches.

MAKING THIS FOR DINNER TONIGHT! I'm going to have a side of tomato soup with it, and my hubby is going to love it! :)

What a wonderful idea! My daughter made a simple pizza dough from a pkg immediately and heated the waffle iron. Changing up the recipe, we had olives, pepperoni and mozzarella inside the pocket, she cooked them :) We then had a delightful lunch with a pizza sauce for dipping!! Thanks for sharing such a great idea with us Rachael!

My son will only eat literally a handful of things.. chicken, pizza, cheese strings, icecream popcycles, any candy and juice.. hot cocoa, breads, pasta plain, waffles and pancakes and roman noodles.. I have to force him to eat anything else, but THIS he ate willingly!!! Yeah!!!! Thank you!!
