Chocolate Nut Pie

Ingredients
- 9-inch pie shell, unbakedl
- 1 C chocolate chips
- 2 C assorted unsalted nuts (cashews, pecans, peanuts, etc)
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 C light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 C light corn syrup
- 2 Tbs melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the bottom of the pie shell. Top with nuts. Lightly whisk eggs with light brown sugar, syrup, butter and vanilla. Pour mixture slowly over nuts. Position nuts as desired.
Bake for 35-50 minutes until golden. Cool at least 30 minutes before serving.
Sounds great with fresh whipped cream or ice cream . . . or both.
