Ingredients
- 1 smoked ham hock (or ham)
- 4-6 slices thick smoked bacon or salt pork
- 1 bunch each collard, turnip, kale or mustard greens with stems removed & torn into pieces strips
- 1 t salt
- 1/2 t black pepper
- 1 t TSTE Vic's garlic fix blend (or more to taste) or 1/2 diced onion
- 1 t TSTE onion obsession (or more to taste) or 1-2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 T red hot sauce
- 1 T butter
- 1 box + 1 can chicken broth (Tuscany by Progresso if possible)

Step 1
Rinse greens thoroughly. Remove thick stems & tear or chop leaves into strips. Cook bacon or salt pork in skillet until fat renders & bacon becomes translucent. Place bacon & drippings in bottom of crock pot.
Add greens, ham, hock, salt, pepper, garlic blend, onion blend, hot sauce, chicken broth & butter into crock pot. Cover & cook on low for 6 hrs or high for 3 hrs. (Remove ham hock, discard skin & shred meat returning meat to crock pot while still cooking.). Serve greens with favorite vinegar if desired.
