Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup almond milk, or sub another milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon truvia, or sub another sweetener
  • 1/2 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoons dry brownie mix (or additional 1 teaspoon cocoa powder)
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • Optional: small handful of miniature chocolate chips

Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the applesauce, vanilla, milk, truvia, cocoa powder, and dry brownie mix until combined.

Stir in the oats.

Place into a tighly re-sealable jar or tupperware in the fridge overnight.

In the morning, top with miniature chocolate chips and stir throughout. This is optional but makes these "double-chocolate." For a healthier option, you could use dark chocolate chips.

I enjoy these oats cold, but if desired you can put them in the microwave for about 30 or so seconds.
