  • 2 slices bread, finely chopped
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons prepared yellow mustard
  • 2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 pound extra-lean ground beef
  • 6 hamburger buns

Step 1

1Preheat broiler. Combine chopped bread, onion, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, horseradish, garlic powder and chili powder in large bowl until well blended. Gently blend ground beef into mixture. (Do not overwork.)
.2Shape beef mixture into 6 (3-inch) burgers. Place the burgers on ungreased baking sheet.
.3Broil the burgers about 4 inches from the heat until desired doneness, about 4 minutes on each side for medium. Serve on hamburger buns with lettuce and tomato, if desired.
