Ingredients

  • 1 3 lb. Whole Chicken
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 tbs. onion powder
  • 1/2 cup margarine divided
  • 1 stalk of celery, leaves removed

Preparation

Step 1

Season inside and outside of chick with salt and pepper.

Sprinkly onion powder inside and out.
Put 3 tbsp of margarine and the stalk of celery cut into 3 pieces inside cavity.

Spread the remainder of margarine around on the chicken.

Bake uncovered about 1 hour and 15 minutes (180 degrees internal temp) on about 350 degrees. Base with drippings.

Take out and cover with foil 30 minutes.

Serve.
