  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 cups chopped cooked turkey
  • 1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 cup milk3 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1/4 teaspoon each ground sage, salt and black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Step 1

1Preheat the oven to 325F.
.2Combine celery, carrots, onion and bell pepper in enough water to cover in a medium saucepan; cover. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook until tender, about 10 minutes; drain well.
.3Spoon the celery mixture into an 11x7-inch baking dish. Layer with the turkey and mushrooms.
.4Combine milk and eggs in a medium bowl and mix well. Stir in marjoram, sage, salt and black pepper. Pour over layers in dish.
.5Sprinkle Cheddar on top of the casserole. Bake until set, 30 to 35 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
