Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon freshly pulverized cardamom seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
- vanilla wafer crumbs for coating the pan

Step 1
Measure flour, sugar, baking powder, cardamom, salt, eggs and whipping cream into a large mixer bowl. With an electric mixer, blend for 30 seconds on low speed, scraping the bowl often. Beat for 3 minutes at medium speed. Butter a 9-inch tube pan and dust with vanilla wafer crumbs. Pour the batter into the pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from the pan immediately; cool on a wire rack.
