Chocolate Chip Pie
VERY rich pie. It is better when cut into 8 pieces instead of 6.
- 1/2 C. butter, melted & cooled
- 1 C. sugar
- 1/2 C. flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1 6 oz. package chocolate chips
- 1/4 C. butterscotch chips (optional)
- 1 C. chopped walnuts
- 1 unbaked 9" pie shell
Stir together butter, sugar, flour, eggs, vanilla and salt. Beat until mixture is smooth. Stir in chocolate chips, butterscotch chips (if desired) and walnuts. Turn into pie shell. Bake in 325 degree oven 55-60 minutes or until crust is lightly browned and pie is set. Cool to lukewarm before cutting.
I am not a big butterscotch fan so I eliminate the butterscotch chips and use one full cup of chocolate chips.
