- 1 box (16 ounces) lasagna noodles
- 1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 pounds ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shreded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 jar (48 ounces) pasta sauce
- 1 medium tomato

Step 1
1Preheat oven to 350F. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain and rinse.
.2Meanwhile, heat nonstick skillet over medium heat; crumble sausage and add to skillet with onion. Cook and stir until browned, about 10 minutes; drain fat. Stir in garlic; remove from heat.
.3In large bowl, mix cheeses, eggs and basil until well blended.
.4Spread thin layer of sauce in 13 x 39-inch baking pan; top with layer of noodles. Cover with layer of cheese mixture; sprinkle with some sausage. Add layer of sauce. Repeat layering with more noodles, cheese mixture, meat and with another layer of noodles and sauce. Slice tomato; place over top.
.5Cover with foil; bake 45 minutes. Uncover and bake until bubbly, about 15 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes.
