Ingredients

  • 1 c self-rising flour
  • 1 c granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c milk
  • 1/2 c butter, melted
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 4 med bananas, peeled and sliced (about 4 c)
  • 1 c rolled oats
  • 3/4 c packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1/2 c chopped walnuts
  • Vanilla ice cream

Step 1

Grease 3-qt rectangular baking pan; set aside. Preheat oven to 375.
In med bowl stir together the 1 c self-rising flour and the granulated sugar; add milk, melted butter and vanilla. Stir until smooth. Spread evenly into the prepared pan. Top with sliced bananas.
In a large bowl combine oats, brown sugar and 1/2 c self-rising flour. Using a pastry blender, cut in 1/2 c butter until crumbly. Stir in walnuts. Sprinkle mixture over bananas. Bake, uncovered for 25-30 mins or until browned and set. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 30 mins. Serve warm with ice cream.
