Fuddruckers Hamburger Seasoning

By

For 25 years Fuddruckers has been serving up huge, cooked-when-ordered beef patties on freshly baked buns. The rest is up to you, as you decorate your hamburger creation with sliced tomato, onions, lettuce, pickles, peppers, relish and whatever else is offered up at the toppings bar. Because of this garnishing freedom everyone’s hamburger is different, yet the company claims these are “The World’s Greatest Hamburgers.” So what makes them so good? Fuddruckers proudly boasts that it uses only 100% USDA choice, aged ground beef. But what Fuddruckers won’t tell you is exactly what secret ingredients make up the delicious burger seasoning used on each of those patties, and that’s what really makes these burgers special. So, after analyzing a sample of the blend used in the shakers back by the griddle, I’ve come up with this simple clone which you can now mix up at home in a flash, and pour into an empty shaker bottle. Sprinkle it onto 1/3- or 1/2-pound ground beef patties as they grill, then snag yourself some fresh buns in the bakery section of your store. Add your choice of other fresh toppings, and in no time you’ll have a great hamburger burger clone that tastes just like those served at the more than 230 Fuddruckers joints.

COMMENTS:

After making hamburgers with this a couple of times. Jack and I want to try actually mixing it in the meet directly before pounding them into patties. We used 1 Tablespoon per pound (or more depending on how strong you like your flavor). We were pleased when we tried this seasoning for Fuddruckers Hamburgers.

We had this seasoning on burgers last night....delicious! I omitted the cayenne (just so I can add it later to mine if no one wants theirs spicy). But my husband and I really liked the flavor of this seasoning. It wasn't overpowering at all, just a very nice blend of flavors. Thank you for a great recipe. I plan to try this on other meats as well!

This was pretty good, except if you don't use it all up at once the brown sugar get hard.

We've been using this recipe for quite awhile and everyone absolutely loves it! We add 1 teaspoon of seasoning mixed into 1 lb of burger, then sprinkle the patties to taste. It's also good on French fries (like Fuddruckers).

Great tasting. Will definitely be making these

Yummm! I use medium ground beef (no other additives in the pattie, just the beef), sprinkle pattie on both sides and grill.

Very good. It added a great flavor to the burgers without taking away from the flavor of the beef. Make sure to use beef that is around 15-20% fat for the best flavor... anything less will be dry and not taste as good.

Great addition to burgers. It doesn't overpower the taste of the meat, but compliments it well.
