Iced Mocha Shakes

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons espresso powder or instant coffee
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 pint vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup whipped topping, to garnish
- Sweetened cocoa powder, to garnish

Step 1
Place the brown sugar, coffee and 1/4 cup boiling water in a food processor or blender. Process until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool.
Add the milk and ice cream to the food processor and blend thoroughly. Meanwhile, fill 4 tall glasses halfway with crushed ice.
Divide the coffee mixture evenly among the glasses. Top with the whipped topping. Dust with the cocoa and serve immediately.

Grandma's Secret Tip:
For a different flavor, Grandma added 1 to 2 tablespoons caramel sauce or 3 drops vanilla extract to the recipe in Step 2.
