Apple Pie Bread

Ingredients
- Vanilla Bean Cream Cheese Swirl:
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp apple pie spice
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup apple juice
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups shredded apples
- 1 cup chopped apples
- 1 8 oz package cream cheese, room temperature (I used low fat)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste (or use 1 tsp vanilla extract)
- Crumble:
- 2 tbsp flour
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp apple pie spice
- 2 tbsp butter, cold

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Grease an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 loaf pan.
To make the bread batter, using a wooden spoon mix the egg, vegetable oil, apple juice, and brown sugar in a large bowl. Add in the apples.
In a separate bowl sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and apple pie spice. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir until combined. (Mixture will be thick). Set aside.
For the swirl, whisk all the ingredients in a small bowl, set aside.
For the crumbled. mix the flour, sugar and apple pie spice in a small bowl. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles course crumbs.
To make the loaf, pour half the bread batter into the pan then pour in the cream cheese mixture. Pour the remaining bread batter over the cream cheese then pour all of the crumble mixture on top. Lightly press the crumbs into the batter.
Bake for 65-75 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cool for 15 minutes in the pan, then finish cooling on a wire rack.
