Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon each green, red, yellow sugar crystals.
  • 1 pkg (15oz) refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1 egg white, lightly beaten
  • 1 tube (.19oz) writing gel
  • silver dragees (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat oven 350 degrees. Lightly grease baking sheets. Place sugar crystals on separate plates. Unfold piecrusts as directed on pkg. Using 2-2 1/2 inch star shaped cookie cutter, cut crusts into stars, combining adn rerolling piecrust scraps.
2. Brush each cookie with egg white, then dip into sugar crystals, pressing lightly. Place on baking sheets.
3. Bake 8 minutes or until crisp. Transfer to wire racks and cool completely. With writing gel make face on each cookie. If desired, place dragees on gel for eyes.

Makes 40 cookies.
