Chopped Salad with Bacon Buttermilk Dressing 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • Bacon Buttermilk Dressing:
  • Romaine Lettuce, chopped
  • 1 package of cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 Avocado, diced
  • 4 oz cheddar cheese, thinly sliced into strips
  • 4 oz monterrey jack cheese, thinly sliced into strips
  • 1/4 lb ham, sliced into strips
  • 1/4 lb turkey, sliced into strips
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts or slivered almonds
  • 6 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 Tbsps chives, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, grated
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Preparation

Step 1

For the salad, mix all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. To make the dressing, combine all of the ingredients and let sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Top the salad with the dressing. Mix well.

A little bacon never hurts, and can add a lot! I’m doing a salad series now, too .
