Chocolate Cordial Cups
These bite-size morsels are fancy but surprisingly easy to make.

- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 ~ 3 ounce package cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 Tbs chocolate or coffee liqueur
- 2 Tbs milk chocolate pieces

Step 1
1. In a large mixing bowl beat the 1/2 cup butter and cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Beat in the 1/3 cup sugar. Add flour and cocoa; beat till well combined. Cover and chill about 1 to 2 hours or till easy to handle. Divide mixture into 24 balls. Press each ball onto bottom and up sides of an ungreased 1 3/4 inch muffin cup.
2. Inf a small, heavy saucepan melt unsweetened chocolate and the 2 Tbs butter over low heat. Remove from heat. Stir in the 1/2 cup sugar, egg, vanilla, and liquor. Divide mixture evenly among muffin cups.
3. Bake in a 325 degree oven about 25 minutes or till set. Cool slightly; remove from pans. Cool completely on a wire rack. Melt milk chocolate pieces over low heat. Spoon about 1/4 teaspoon of melted chocolate on center of each cup. Let chocolate set before serving. Makes 24.
