Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 8 chicken thighs, skinned
- 10 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Preparation
Step 1
In large skillet, heat oil until moderately hot. Add chicken and cook until brown on all sides, about 10 minutes.
Add garlic and red pepper to chicken; cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain off excess fat.
In small bowl, mix together vinegar, soy sauce, honey and ginger; add to chicken. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 15 to 20 minutes or until chicken is fork-tender and fully cooked.
Notes:
Serve with rice. When cooked, garlic becomes mellow and is not overpowering. However, if you prefer, you can start with 2 garlic cloves and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper. Adapt it to your own taste.
