Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds skinned and boned chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups canola oil
- Honey Sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 2 garlic cloves, minced

Step 1
1.Cut chicken into 1 1/2 - x 5-inch strips or into about 48 (1 1/2-inch) cubes.
2.Whisk together flour and next 4 ingredients. Whisk in 3/4 to 1 cup of water or enough water to form a slightly runny batter.
3.Pour canola oil to a depth of 1/2 inch in a large deep skillet; heat to 350 degrees.
4.Dip chicken in flour mixture. Fry chicken, in batches, in hot oil 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until done and golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
For Honey Sauce
5.Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan, and cook over low heat for 4 to 6 minutes.
6.Serve chicken with honey sauce.
