Preparation

Step 1

Using a food processor, process hazelnuts until the are in a butter state, or paste. This may take a while depending on the size of your processor. Scrape the sides of the processor to ensure that all of the hazelnuts are all incorporated. The smoother the nut butter, the smoother the Nutella will be. Once butter is produced, set aside.

In a large microwavable bowl, melt the chocolate in the microwave at 50% power in 60 second intervals. This should take between 2-3 minutes, but will depend on the microwave's power.

Once the chocolate is smooth, add the sweetened condensed milk and cream. Stir to combine. Add the icing sugar, and stir until no white streaks remain.

Store in a sealed container, in the fridge, for a week or two. The length of time the Nutella is good for will depend on the expiration date of your cream.
