Preparation
Step 1
Don’t pop over to my place unannounced. I don’t have a “pop over-able personality”. I need time to “wrap my mind” around the fact that you are coming over.
When it comes to making desserts I make what I like…brownies and chocolate cake.
Go make them and see for yourself!
2 1/4 cups white wheat flour (or you can use white)
Preheat oven to 350°
Combine crushed pretzels, 1/2 cup melted butter and 1/2 cup sugar in a bowl. Press mixture firmly into the bottom and up sides of a 10" pie or tart pan.
While crust is baking make the blondie filling.
Cream butter, 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup granulated sugar with your mixer.
Add eggs and vanilla and beat until combined and smooth.
On low speed add in your baking soda, salt and flour until incorporated evenly.
Stir in your chocolate chips and Reese's Minis until evenly distributed.
Press mixture on top of baked crust.
Place pie back in oven for 30-35 minutes. Remove and cover top with aluminum foil to prevent burning the top and put back into oven for 15 - 20 minutes.

I, too, am not a spontaneous person. I don't think I'd much enjoy a last-minute vacation. After all, I have to take a week to plan, make lists, and pack. And unannounced visits? Oy. Don't get me started! This pie? This I could go make right now, spontaneity and all!
That pie looks divine. I can feel my pants getting tighter just looking! I need to make it! :)
I saw this recipe on Pinterest and had to check it out. You may just make a pie eater out of me yet. I still need to try a Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie. That may have to wait due to Reese's minis!
Sounds like you and I have a similar personality! Sometimes I am amazed at comments my Hubby makes that make me think 'Am I really THAT predictable?' Spontaneity is NOT a compatible word in my vocabulary either.
Stopping over from Crazy for Crust - LOVE LOVE LOVE this! Reese are my favorite! I can't wait to make this - thanks for sharing :)
The ingredients call for 3/4 cup light brown sugar and 1/2 cup granulated... but in the directions the amounts are reversed. Just checking which is correct so I don't mess this up for my sister's birthday dessert.
Well, I made this again to see if I had made any mistakes in my directions. After cooking the "pie" for 35 minutes, I decided to pull it out and put foil over the top and put it back in the oven too cook for almost 15 minutes. I let it cool for about 4 hours before we dove into it and it was PERFECT! Try that to see if it helps.
I don't see in your directions anything about the top crust... What is the recipe for that?
I think that making these with a graham cracker crust would be totally yummy! I might add some marshmellows into the cookie pie...kinda like a smores cookie pie :)
Someone pinned your recipe on Pinterest and I cannot WAIT to make it. Thanks for sharing!
Someone brought this to a party I was at last week, and holy moly was it delicious! Can't wait to make it for my boyfriend. Thank you for sharing your recipe!
He did -- and so did a bunch of other people! Thanks so much for this -- I'll definitely make it again!
These are so so good. Next time I make them I will try them as bars. I am thinking this would make it easier to cut into snack size portions for storing and sharing. Has anyone tried this? I am not a natural with the science of baking; I am just hoping this will work with the same measurements and probably slightly less time in the oven. :)
There is no crust on the top. That is just how the "pie" cooks up. It makes its own "crust". Take care and I hope you love it!
I added an extra 1/2 stick of butter to the crust. My gorgeous pie puffed up and was slightly gooey on the inside...totally blows aways a "Pazzooki". Vanilla bean ice cream a la mode is a must!
