Details
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350° F. Take 1 can of crescent rolls (do not tear apart) and remove 1 of the sections (there will be 2 in the can) and lay it on the bottom of the 9" x 13" pan, same for the other section. Take the 2 packages of cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar and vanilla, and mix together and spread over the rolls. Lay the other can of crescent rolls over the top of the mixture the same way you did the bottom of the rolls. Pour the melted butter on top and take the mixture of 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon mixed together and sprinkle on top. Bake for 30 minutes.

Wonderful any time of the day!
I fixed this as a dessert one night and everyone loved it! Great served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
The only problem is, it doesn't last. Once you start eating it, you can't stop!
Great as it is, pineapple does work well with it, too! I tried almond extract instead of vanilla & added slivered almonds to the top... OMGosh, sooo good. But then I do like a citrus tang & I tried Key lime juice instead of vanilla with lime zest added to the top. This is the perfect Cheese Danish with so many possibilities! As I said: AWESOME-ER!
I reduced the amount of cream cheese and sugar. It was just too sweet. I used one 8 oz package and one 4 oz. package cream cheese (instead of two 8 oz pkgs) and reduced the sugar to 3/4 cup when mixing with the cheese. Very good!!
It's not bad AT ALL but I have problems geting the rolls to cook all the way through and I cookd for an extra AT LEAST 15-20 minutes. The middle was very doughy and had to recook all the middle parts.
