Ingredients
- 4 7-10oz Boneless Rib-Eye Steaks
- Kosher Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground Black Pepper, to taste
- 3-4 Tbsp Oil
- 14 Shallots, peeled and left whole
- 3 cloves Fresh Garlic
- 1/3 cup Dry Red Wine
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Soy Sauce

Preparation
Step 1
Season steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat 2 Tbsp oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Add steaks and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Remove steaks from pan and set aside.
Heat remaining oil in the pan and add shallots, scraping up the meat bits.
Saute over a low flame until slightly golden (add more oil if necessary).
Add whole cloves of fresh garlic and continue to saute until slightly caramelized.
Keeping the pan on a low-medium flame, return steaks to the pan and add the wine and soy sauce. Steaks should be nearly covered, if necessary add water.
Cove and let simmer on a very low flame for approximately 2-3 hours.
