Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6 cups dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Preparation

Step 1

Heat over to 350 degrees. Heat milk and margarine over medium heat until margarine is melted and milk is scalded. Mix eggs, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Stir in bread cubes and raisins. Stir in milk mixture. Pour into an un-greased casserole. Place casserole in a pan of very hot water in inch deep. Bake uncovered until knife inserted one inch from edge of casserole comes out clean, 40 -45 minutes. Serve warm with cream.
